Locomotive Spray Painter

Seeking passionate and experienced Locomotive Spray Painter for Selwyn based Client in growth mode, be part of something cool!


Our Canterbury based client has a large portfolio of exciting local and international projects and is in need of  an experienced Locomotive Spray Painter to assist in top quality production.

About the Roles

You will work as part of a team to complete tasks to production deadlines whilst maintaining a high level of health and safety and ensuring a high standard of quality paint and finish. 

Main Functions and Responsibilities:

  • To prepare vehicle for painting
  • Apply  knowledge and experience selecting tools to prepare, mark out prime and paint
  • Sand, fill and seal fibreglass parts and panels to prepare for final painting
  • Carry out undersealing, priming, painting and touch ups on vehicles
  • Layout positions and align paint schemes
  • Work with a range of sealers, fillers and paints 
  • repair vehicles and components by dismantling, straightening, filling, sanding, painting and reassembly 

About You

You’re a hardworking, reliable and motivated team player who gets along easily with others. You have an exceptional eye for detail and perfectionist paint finish and a high quality standard of work. You enjoy working in a fast paced environment in a production/manufacturing setting and are keen to take your career.

  • Minimum 3 years Locomotive Spray Painting experience
  • Physically fit and strong
  • “Can-do” attitude and team player
