They are seeking an experienced and skilled Welder Fabricator to join our busy heavy vehicle workshop. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding, fabrication, and working with heavy-duty vehicles and machinery. You will play a key role in ensuring the efficient repair, maintenance, and modification of a wide range of heavy vehicles, including trucks, agitators, and other large equipment.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
Perform welding and fabrication work on heavy vehicles, agitators, and other machinery, ensuring all work meets industry standards and safety regulations.
- Conduct repairs to vehicle frames, chassis, suspension, exhaust systems, and other structural components.
- Fabricate custom parts and components as required for various repair and maintenance tasks.
- Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to accurately complete welding and fabrication tasks.
- Use a variety of welding techniques MIG, TIG and welding to complete complex projects.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, ensuring adherence to all health and safety guidelines.
- Work closely with the workshop team to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Welder Fabricator, ideally within a heavy vehicle workshop.
- Proficient in MIG, TIG and welding techniques.
- Strong knowledge of metal fabrication and welding processes.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- High attention to detail and quality workmanship.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
