Project Manager

Project Management with a difference


An exciting opportunity to join a company's delivery team that makes a difference to Auckland's infrastructure. This role is pivotal in providing construction, supervision, and project engineering services. 

About you

  • Conversant with 3 waters
  • 5-10 years experience
  • Bachelor of Engineering or similar
  • Must have broad knowledge of Water policies, process, systems, & materials 
  • Must have strong leadership working with cultural diversity
  • Specializing in delivering complex water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure
  • Experience in projects focusing on planning, design, construction, and resource consenting for large scale
  • Experience with ensuring alignment with asset management plans, managing budgets, technical aspects, and stakeholder engagement

Primary Objectives:

To complete all Civil/water work efficiently and effectively whilst maintaining a safe working environment that meets all network operators' standards and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing work schedule for positions supervised (Site Supervisors and other Operators) 
  • Preparation of Project Documentation ie SWMS and Procedures etc
  • Coordinate staff to complete electrical work
  • Coordinate subcontractors involved with electrical work
  • Site Inspections and audits
  • Evaluate subcontractors for civil/water works
  • Complete and Lodge paperwork required on job completion
  • Follow up and complete all unfinished projects

Health and Safety

  • Implement the occupational health and safety policy and management plan.
  • Ensure compliance by all employees, contractors and visitors with regard to both the plan and policy.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of the Occupational Health and Safety Plan.
  • Ensure the occupational health and safety policy and plan are included in the planning phase of any new project.
  • Ensure safe work practices are adhered to.
  • Ensure all employees, contractors and visitors comply with the requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Management Plan and occupational health and safety policy.

Environment

  • Implement the environmental management policy and management plan.
  • Ensure compliance by all employees, contractors and visitors with regard to both the plan and policy.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of the Environmental Management Plan.
  • Ensure the environmental management policy and plan are included in the planning phase of any new project.
  • Ensuring that environmental best practice is adhered to.
  • Ensuring all employees, contractors and visitors comply with the requirements of the Environmental Management Plan and the Environmental policy
