Occupational Health Nurse - Canterbury

Our client operates a multi-disciplinary practice with highly skilled staff to deal with all aspects of health and safety in the workplace. With a strong focus on improving and maintaining employee health and wellness, they work directly with clients to monitor and maintain safe working practices and environments.
Currently, there is a vacancy for an Occupational Health Nurse (OHN) role based in Christchurch. Ideally, you will have previous community health or practice nursing experience.
The role would suit a proactive Registered Nurse (with a current practicing certificate) who:
- Has the ability to time manage and work independently with assigned clients
- Enjoys a diverse work environment, as travel is required as part of the role (Mid to South Canterbury)
- Is enthusiastic about learning and developing new skills
- Prides themselves on getting the job done
- Have the skills to work independently and also work as a member of a team
- Confident in an advisory role
A typical days work would include, Pre-employment health assessments, Health monitoring, Drug, and Alcohol testing, Vaccinations/Phlebotomy, Toolbox Presentations, and Training such as manual handling
If you have
- Great people skills
- Previous experience in a professional relationship management environment
- Excellent written and oral communication
- The ability to learn and adapt to new situations
- Sound computer skills
- Current driver's license and a clean driving record
