APPLIANCE SERVICE MECHANIC

Our client Appliance Supplies has over 30 years in the appliance repair industry and due to company growth are seeking 2 Mechanical Service Technicians. Servicing a wide variety of appliances for all major brands they are looking for experienced technicians that have extensive knowledge in the Appliance industry.
Purpose of the job
- Trouble-shoot and carry out repairs to domestic appliances such as refrigerators, freezers, washing machines, dryers, ovens, dishwashers, micro-wave ovens and other small appliance to the customer's satisfaction.
- Maintain electronic job worksheets detailing the repairs undertaken, parts used and time taken to complete the job.
- Maintaining van stock according to makes and models repaired.
About you:
- To be self-motivated and able to work unsupervised.
- Knowledge in installing and repairing components such as compressors, motors, pumps, thermostats and cosmetic parts to domestic appliances.
- Test appliances after repairs to confirm they are working correctly and safely.
- To make decisions that will provide the customer with a fair and equitable resolution to service issues.
- Ability to work to deadlines and attend multitask.
- To have the ability to use the Manufacture parts identification media.
- Possess strong analytical, problem solving and effective communication and organisational skills.
- Able to work as a member of a close-knit team.
- Adhere to safety regulations and company policies at all times
What you want to know:
- Start/Finish: 7:30/8:00am – 4:00/4:30pm
- Overtime available during busy times
- Salary: 75-85K + Super
- Relocation for Interstate or NZ applicants of $5000
