Location: Tauranga, Bay of Plenty

About the Company
Our client specialises in custom-designed heavy-duty tarps and covers for a wide range of industries: transport (curtainsiders, truck & trailer covers), construction (large tarpaulins), shade sails, concrete curing blankets.
This is a newly created role – we are not replacing someone, but building a position for the right candidate who will grow with the business.
What You’ll Be Doing
Fabricating, measuring, and assembling high-quality tarpaulins, covers, and custom fabric solutions.
Reading plans or specifications, cutting materials, welding or stitching as required, installing fittings and finishing work.
Working with various heavy-duty materials for applications in transport, construction, or custom projects.
Assisting with installations or onsite fitting when required.
Collaborating with the team to maintain quality, meet deadlines and contribute to a strong customer-service-driven workshop environment.
What We’re Looking For
Demonstrated experience in fabrication, upholstery, canvas work, sailmaking or a similar trade.
Strong attention to detail, pride in your workmanship and ability to deliver precision results.
Willingness to learn and adapt in a varied and dynamic workshop environment.
Reliable, proactive attitude and good teamwork / communication skills.
Fully eligible for NZ work or eligible for employer-sponsored visa (we are accredited for overseas skilled applicants).
Based in or willing to relocate to Tauranga / Bay of Plenty region.
