Location: Central South Island and Surrounding Areas
Our client, a well-respected name in the construction industry, is looking for a qualified carpenter to start in August on an initial short-term contract with the potential for long-term work. Specialising in architectural homes, commercial new builds, alterations, fit-outs, and residential developments, the company needs a skilled carpenter who can work across both residential and commercial projects.
Key Requirements:
– NZ qualified Carpenter or similar overseas certificate
– Proven ability to read and interpret residential and commercial building plans
– Competence in both residential and commercial carpentry
– Own tools (hand and power) and reliable transport
– Strong work ethic and ability to work independently
– Foreman experience is a plus but not required
Employment Details:
– Contract duration: Initial 3-4 months, with potential extension based on performance
– Pay rate: $30 - $40/hr, depending on experience and ability
– Start date: August
Pre-employment checks: Drug test and Ministry of Justice (MoJ) clearance
