About the Role
We're seeking aClass 4 Delivery Driver / Production Assistant to join our team at our new Cromwell facility. In this hands-on role, you'll be involved in both production and delivery activities- from operating roll forming machinery and manufacturing flashings, to loading, unloading, and delivering roofing products throughout Central Otago.
What you'll do:
Truck Driver Responsibilities
- Deliver roofing materials across Central Otago
- Load and unload trucks safely
- Pick and prepare customer orders for delivery
- Manage inwards goods and delivery documentation
- Ensure vehicle and equipment are well maintained
Production Assistant Responsibilities
- Operate roll forming machinery and manufacture flashings
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch
- Assist with inwards goods and stock organisation
- Report simple faults and follow safety procedures
Requirements
- Full Class 4 driver licence (essential)
- Experience operating factory or sheet metal machinery preferred
- Experience in manufacturing, transport, or warehousing environments
- Forklift licence (preferred – or training provided)
- Physically fit and confident with manual handling and heavy lifting
- Hiab or overhead gantry crane experience (advantageous)
- Mechanically minded with the ability to identify simple faults
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
