We are seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Supervisor to join a well-established and growing HVAC contractor delivering large-scale commercial projects across the Wellington region.
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys being on the tools while also managing teams, programmes, and site delivery.
About the Role
You will be responsible for supervising HVAC installation and maintenance works on commercial sites, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and lead HVAC technicians and subcontractors on site
Coordinate daily work plans, labour, and materials
Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements
Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and programmes
Liaise with project managers, clients, and other trades
Monitor quality, productivity, and workmanship
Assist with commissioning and handover where required
Experience
Proven experience in commercial HVAC installation and/or maintenance
Previous experience in a supervisory or leading hand role
Strong understanding of commercial HVAC systems
Ability to manage people and workflows effectively
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Education & Qualifications
Relevant HVAC / Mechanical trade qualification
Current Site Safe (or willingness to obtain)
Full NZ Driver’s Licence
Supervisory or leadership training is an advantage
