Key Aspects:

  • Maintenance and Repair:

    Perform routine maintenance tasks such as lubricating, inspecting, and replacing parts to keep cranes in optimal condition. 

  • Troubleshooting and Diagnostics:

    Identify and diagnose mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic problems with cranes and implement appropriate solutions. 

  • Safety:

    Ensure cranes are operated safely by adhering to industry standards and regulations. 

  • Inspections:

    Conduct regular inspections of cranes to identify potential issues before they become major problems. 

  • Record Keeping:

    Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and inspections. 

  • Specialized Tasks:

    Depending on the type of crane, technicians may also be involved in erection, dismantling, and climbing operations. 

  • Working at Heights:

    Crane technicians may need to work at heights, particularly those specializing in overhead cranes. 

  • Unloading, Constructing and Maintaining Equipment:

    Crane technicians may also be responsible for unloading, constructing and maintaining the equipment according to the production's deadlines and schedules. 

You must be able to pass a drug test and clear a MOJ check, must have your full drivers license, be qualified, and have a valid working visa or be a NZ citizen
