Factory/dispatch operator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our team as a Dairy Factory / Dispatch Operator. This dual-role position is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in dairy production as well as logistics coordination. You will be responsible for assisting in daily dairy factory operations-including processing, packaging, and quality control-while also managing the dispatch of finished products to ensure timely and accurate delivery to customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Dairy Factory Worker Duties:

Maintain hygiene and safety standards in accordance with food safety regulations

Assist in bottling, packaging, and labeling of dairy products

Conduct quality checks on raw and finished products (temperature, weight, seal integrity, etc.)

Clean and sanitize equipment and work areas as per SOPs

Dispatch Duties:

Plan and coordinate dispatch schedules based on daily production output

Oversee order picking, packaging, and loading operations

Liaise with transport providers and internal teams to ensure on-time deliveries

Maintain accurate records of inventory, orders, and dispatch logs

Handle dispatch-related customer inquiries or complaints professionally

Skills & Qualifications:

Prior experience in a dairy processing or food manufacturing environment preferred

Strong organisational and time-management skills

Experience with logistics, dispatch operations, or warehouse management preferred 

Proficiency with basic computer systems 

Excellent communication and team leadership skills
