Experienced Industrial Electrician Foreman

Canstaff is seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician Foreman to lead electrical works across industrial and infrastructure projects in the Waikato and Taupo region. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys being on the tools while guiding and supporting a team.
About the Role
You will oversee day-to-day electrical operations on site, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. The role combines supervision, planning, and hands-on electrical work across industrial environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of industrial electricians
- Plan and coordinate daily site activities and workflows
- Carry out hands-on industrial electrical installation, maintenance, and fault-finding
- Ensure compliance with NZ electrical and health & safety regulations
- Liaise with project managers, clients, and other trades
- Mentor apprentices and junior electricians
- Manage job documentation, reporting, and quality checks
About You
- NZ Registered Electrician with a current practising licence
- Strong background in industrial electrical work
- Previous foreman or team leadership experience preferred
- Confident with plant, machinery, and industrial systems
- Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills
- Safety-focused with a proactive leadership style
