Machine Operator & Demolition Labourer

Our client, a reputable demolition company in Hawke's Bay, is looking for an experienced Driver/Machine Operator & Demolition Labourer to join their dynamic team. This full-time role, based in Hastings, offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of fast-paced demolition projects.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Safely operating excavators, Hiab, Class 2-5 vehicles, and other demolition machinery.
• Performing skilled demolition work using various tools and equipment.
• Collaborating with the team to ensure projects are managed efficiently and safely.
• Maintaining high standards of workmanship and attention to detail.
• Adhering to all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Occasionally undertaking long-haul driving when required.

What We're Looking For:

• Experience as a Driver, Machinery Operator, or Demolition Labourer in the construction industry.
• Competency in operating demolition tools and heavy machinery.
• Strong understanding of demolition safety procedures and regulations.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to work well in a team.
• Good physical fitness for manual labour tasks.
• Relevant construction certifications (preferred).
• Valid Class 2-5 heavy vehicle licence with T, W, R (tracks, wheels, rollers) endorsements.

Must-Haves:

• Eligibility to work in New Zealand (Overseas applications will NOT be considered).
• Two work references.
• A FULL Driver's Licence with a clean record.
• Previous demolition/construction experience (advantageous).
