Map, audit and report on relevant geological issues and assist with UG mine planning and compliance. A tertiary qualification in geology is essential. Earn $150,000+ per annum. Residential / DIDO / FIFO options are available.
About the Role
We're looking for a Mine Geologist to join our client in North Queensland. Reporting to the Senior Geologist, you will be a critical part of the support services team.
You'll provide geological support to the operation to ensure safe and efficient production, and assist with planning exploration, gas compliance drilling, sampling and other geological-related studies. Reporting to management on geological issues, you'll be involved in UG longwall, bord & pillar and development mapping and auditing. You'll work on mine documentation including grade plans, fault plans, borehole intersection notices, contour plans and geological hazard plans.

- Provide geological inputs for mine documentation
About You
You have a comprehensive knowledge of UG mining environments and are proficient with relevant industry software. Your strong interpersonal and communication skills allow you to form strong working relationships with your co-workers.
- Tertiary qualification in geology
- Experience in the UG mine environment preferred
