NZ Certified Drainlayer - Mid Canterbury

Our client, based in Mid Canterbury, is seeking a skilled and motivated New Zealand Certified Drainlayer to join their dedicated team.


As a Certified Drainlayer, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of drainage systems in a variety of civil construction projects. Your expertise will ensure that all drainage work complies with standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, excavate, and install drainage systems including stormwater, wastewater, and sewer pipelines.
  • Read and interpret civil drawings, plans, and specifications accurately.
  • Operate specialised vehicles and machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Coordinate with other civil trades to ensure seamless project completion.
  • Conduct site inspections and quality checks to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to drainage systems on-site.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used.
  • Adhere strictly to all health and safety policies and procedures.

What We're Looking For:

  • NZ Certified Drainlayer qualification.
  • Minimum of 2 years post-trade experience in civil works.
  • Strong knowledge of civil construction processes and how drainage integrates with other trades.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to health and safety.
