We are currently seeking an experienced Truck Driver / Excavator Operator to join our team. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys a mix of operating machinery and getting involved on the ground when required.
About the Role:
You will be responsible for operating an excavator to carry out tasks such as ripping up concrete and excavation work, as well as driving a Class 4 truck to transport machinery and materials to and from job sites. Work will be across a range of civil and construction projects in Christchurch.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operating an excavator for demolition and excavation work
- Ripping up and removing concrete
- Driving a Class 4 truck to and from sites
- Assisting with site preparation and general labour when required
- Maintaining equipment and ensuring safe operation at all times
- Working as part of a team to complete projects efficiently
Requirements:
- Full Class 4 driver’s licence
- Proven experience operating excavators
- Physically fit and capable of manual work
- Good understanding of site safety
- Reliable with a strong work ethic
- Ability to work well both independently and within a team
