Welder/Fabricator

About the Role:

Our client, is looking for a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join their team in South Canterbury. This is a full-time position with a start date expected around early to mid-February. The role involves working on high-quality welding and fabrication projects within a well-structured and managed company.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Welder/Fabricator, you will be responsible for delivering high-standard welding and fabrication work. You will need to ensure that all tasks are completed with precision and efficiency while maintaining workplace safety. The role requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team, following project specifications and timelines.

What We’re Looking For:

We are seeking a highly motivated and reliable tradesperson who takes pride in their workmanship. The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under minimal supervision. A positive and respectful attitude is essential for this role.

Qualifications and Experience:

The ideal candidate should be a qualified and experienced tradesperson with prior experience in welding and fabrication. New Zealand residents or individuals with valid work visas are preferred. Applicants must have a strong grasp of English to ensure effective communication on the job.

Skills & Attributes:

To succeed in this role, you will need excellent welding and fabrication skills, the ability to work to an exceptional standard, and a keen eye for detail. A solid understanding of safety procedures, teamwork, and efficiency in handling machinery will also be crucial. A valid New Zealand driver’s license is required.
