Civil Engineer
Join our team as a Civil Engineer, where you will play a pivotal role in providing professional civil engineering services. You will be involved in the design, construction observation, and administration of contracts primarily related to land development and local government infrastructure projects.
Key Accountabilities:
Project Management:
- Undertake the role of civil engineer, contributing to project control and completion.
- Manage risk associated with project deliverables and assist in project scoping and preparation.
- Participate in project briefing meetings, data analysis, and preparation of client reports.
- Control and perform delegated project tasks within specified scopes of work.
- Lead a team in stormwater modeling and preparation of stormwater management plans.
- Implement changes to practices and processes based on post-project review processes.
Business Development:
- Provide services that meet clients' project needs, establishing effective working relationships.
- Support business development strategies and marketing plans to maximize company revenue.
Technical Expertise:
- Collect, analyze, and process engineering data from field investigations and business processes.
- Apply accepted principles and best practices to provide engineering solutions and recommendations.
- Design and implement new methodologies for technical specialist application and provide innovative solutions.
- Utilize engineering software and database products to produce solutions, reports, drawings, and data.
- Assist CAD design engineers in the design of projects.
- Prepare designs, specifications, and contract documents for engineering projects.
- Provide engineering advice and opinions and observe works on-site.
Organizational Skills:
- Communicate effectively and receive corrective feedback.
- Complete administrative tasks accurately and in a timely manner.
- Comply with safe working practices in accordance with Health and Safety Procedures.
- Observe and comply with all company policies, procedures, and quality management system requirements.
