We need Welders (TIG/MIG/Aluminum), Fitters/Turners, Sheet Metal Workers, Auto Electricians, Spray Painters, and Vehicle Body Builders to fabricate, assemble, and install parts for vehicles.
About the Roles
Working as part of a dedicated skilled team for our client we need the following skilled tradespeople to fabricate, assemble, and install parts for vehicles:
- Welders (TIG/MIG/Aluminum)
- Fitters/Turners
- Sheet Metal Workers
- Auto Electricians
- Spray Painters
- Vehicle Body Builder
Welders will assemble pieces of metal after reviewing blueprints, cutting the metal into the appropriate shape and smoothing molten metal to remove creases.
Sheet Metal Workers will cut, bend, and shape sheet metal to the required dimensions. The processes used may include milling, sawing, drilling, filing, thermal cutting, lapping, broaching, and honing.
Automotive electricians will install, maintain and repair electrical wiring, parts, and electrical and electronic systems in vehicles.
Spray Painters will prepare and clean the parts ready for painting, mix and match the paint or coats, and apply paint according to the requirements.
Vehicle body builders will repair, fabricate and install custom bodies onto the chassis of various vehicles.
About You
You're a hardworking, reliable and motivated team player who gets along easily with others. You can read and follow Technical Drawings, use a range of machinery and hand tools as relevant to your role, and use your knowledge and experience to solve problems and find solutions.
- 3+ years of relevant experience
- Physically fit and strong

- Permanent, full-time job – 30 hours plus
- Canterbury location
- Earn NZD29.66 to NZD36.00 per hour
